Two brothers Andre ‘and ‘Edouard Michelin in Clermont-Ferrand, France founded Michelin in 1889. Michelin’s first factory was established in Clermont-Ferrand. To this day, it has grown to be one of the largest tire manufactures in the world.

In 1976 Dick Adams Automotive aim is to provide a high quality automotive repair facility to the Salinas Valley. We started our shop September 5^th 1976 with two employees my dad and I. Within one month we had two technicians and a bookkeeper.

Survived by Jimmy Adams, he has now partnered with Matt Beck, grandson of Don Hultz of the Don Hultz tire company; to provide the ultimate full-service vehicle and tire repair.

Central Coast Motorsport Spectacular Raffle Winners

This past Sunday at the Central Coast Motorsport Spectacular, Dick Adams Automotive had an opportunity to be a sponsor at this annual event located at the Rodeo Grounds in Salinas, California.

Upon being a sponsor they were able to set up a booth to display there new Tire department giving away $10 discounts coupon and a chance to win $200 towards a set of tires.

Congratulations too Larry Larronde in winning the raffle of $200. On top of that the owner Matt Beck decided to give away an additional $200 to 4 out of the many people that stopped by the booth.

Local Business Help a Non-profit Organization

Just recently Dick Adams Automotive teamed up with C&J Auto body and glass, and Napa Auto Parts to help a local non-profit organization named Dorothy’s Kitchen.

Dorothy’s Kitchen is part of a larger non-profit organization named Dorothy’s place. At Dorothy’s Kitchen they serve breakfast and lunch to the needy of Monterey County. They use a small Toyota Tacoma to deliver goods. Since they are non-profit they weren’t able to afford the cost of maintenance and repair on their unsafe vehicle. That’s when these 3 generous local businesses jumped in to help. Altogether they donated $2000 worth of parts of labor to repair of Dorothy’s Kitchen transportation truck. Here’s what they did.

Owner Sal Jimenez of C&J donated lights, bumper brackets, and seat belt parts in order to keep it safe and legal. Ron Ferguson of Salinas Napa auto parts donated shocks, fan belts, brakes, oil filters, and air filter. Here at Dick Adams we covered all the labor which also included a tune up.

Here's a story to share.: THERE I WAS, a 64 year old disabled vetern sitting alongside 101 with a blown tire on a 38 ft fifth wheel.
I was traveling from Sweetwater, Texas to San Jose, CA. No sooner than I got out of my truck, a Dick Adams service vehicle pulled up behind me. In about 10 minutes, Matt Beck had my tire changed, checked all tires for damage and tire pressure. He would not accept compensation, just my thanks.
I will be forever grateful to Matt for his efforts.
