This past Sunday at the Central Coast Motorsport Spectacular, Dick Adams Automotive had an opportunity to be a sponsor at this annual event located at the Rodeo Grounds in Salinas, California.

Upon being a sponsor they were able to set up a booth to display there new Tire department giving away $10 discounts coupon and a chance to win $200 towards a set of tires.

Congratulations too Larry Larronde in winning the raffle of $200. On top of that the owner Matt Beck decided to give away an additional $200 to 4 out of the many people that stopped by the booth.

Just recently Dick Adams Automotive teamed up with C&J Auto body and glass, and Napa Auto Parts to help a local non-profit organization named Dorothy’s Kitchen.

Dorothy’s Kitchen is part of a larger non-profit organization named Dorothy’s place. At Dorothy’s Kitchen they serve breakfast and lunch to the needy of Monterey County. They use a small Toyota Tacoma to deliver goods. Since they are non-profit they weren’t able to afford the cost of maintenance and repair on their unsafe vehicle. That’s when these 3 generous local businesses jumped in to help.  Altogether they donated $2000 worth of parts of labor to repair of Dorothy’s Kitchen transportation truck. Here’s what they did.

 

Owner Sal Jimenez of C&J donated lights, bumper brackets, and seat belt parts in order to keep it safe and legal. Ron Ferguson of Salinas Napa auto parts donated shocks, fan belts, brakes, oil filters, and air filter. Here at Dick Adams we covered all the labor which also included a tune up.

I was traveling from Sweetwater, Texas to San Jose, CA. No sooner than I got out of my truck, a Dick Adams service vehicle pulled up behind me. In about 10 minutes, Matt Beck had my tire changed, checked all tires for damage and tire pressure. He would not accept compensation, just my thanks.
I will be forever grateful to Matt for his efforts.

His mission is to receive and drive back "Hook" our brand new service truck at Dick Adams Automotive and Tire.

Hook is an International 4900 knuckle boom crane truck weighing 6.5 tons. Made in 1990, it is a 5 speed manual transmission and uses Diesel Fuel. It has a 13,000-pound max lifting capabilities, and can reach up too 35 feet in the air. 

While on this journey back to California, we will be following Tommy Smith's progress. Have a safe a ride back Tommy!

First, we have to say that this is an impressive vehicle. In comparison to the other hybrids this is by for the most advance and stylish of them all. The ride is absolutely amazing. Driving up the hills of Carmel Valley was a breeze, handling felt great and stable, yet smooth. The transition from electric to motor went unnoticeable.

Dick Adams Automotive and Tire stand behind this car, and would recommend it to anyone that was interested.
