About Us

In 1976 Dick Adams Automotive was opened to provide a quality, personable automotive repair facility to the Salinas area. The Company opened in September 1976 by Dick Adams himself. When the Company was first opened the shop was located on Alisal Street next to P G & E. There were 2 technicians working for Dick at that time. In 1982 Dick Adams Automotive relocated to a larger building at 242 Griffin Street. The Company was one of the first in Salinas to have a computer system for processing repair orders. We have the latest equipment for diagnosis and repair of most vehicles. The Company provides outstanding civic service in the community through many organizations: The Salinas Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, The California International Airshow, The Salinas Area United Way and supporting local high school programs. These are just a few. In 1988 we became an official AC Delco Quality Installer. We believe in GM products and since the majority of the vehicles we work on are American made we carry and promote AC Delco products. Now, Dick Adams Automotive is at a point where we are striving to be the best independent repair shop of the Monterey Peninsula..
